Music in the Mill featuring Justin Townes Earle & Rebecca Hart
Sometimes it’s the view – your eyes darting back and forth from the band to the adjacent railroad track and the music seems changed by the surrounding beauty. Sometimes it’s the sense of discovery – you suspect the night’s opening act is headed for stardom. And sometimes, it’s simply the fact that on any given night, you know they’ve booked another great show.
Music In The Mill was developed as a way to promote The Crossing at Hollar Mill as a regional live music and entertainment destination for the Greater Hickory Metro area. By providing well-crafted music and concerts, Music In The Mill creates jobs and encourages population growth.
Built in 1930 and loving restored in 2013, The Crossing has it all – history, setting, sound, character, comfort, atmosphere, vibrancy, uniqueness and is inch for inch, the most comfortable venue in the region. The Crossing at Hollar Mill is located on the second floor of the lovingly renovated former Holler Hosiery Mill in the up and coming Southeast District of Hickory. The Crossing is one of North Carolina’s most unique historical event spaces and Hickory’s premiere music events venue.
The goal of creating a regional entertainment destination is a reality. Come be part of the fun, the history. Join us for the 2017 Music In the Mill concert series beginning June 16th through New Year’s Eve. Additionally, a percentage of concert proceeds benefits local non-profits Hickory Soup Kitchen, CO Miller Teen Center, and Friends of Hickory Park.
Also located within Destination Hollar Mill, Highland Avenueand American Honor Ale House & Brewery host pre and post-concert fare. Tunes, Food and Brews in a historical gem make Music In the Mill the place to be.
